viisConnect has been created using our state of the art Cloud Platform.

This platform is a configurable "Platform as a Service" engine that is configured to provide the solutions each client requires.

Data exchange is critical for true collaboration. viisConnect relies on certain key transaction and status data being extracted from your system and uploaded to your community on a regular basis. The system uses this data, along with other data provided in the same way by your business partners, to give you and your partners maximum visibility of your business process.

We have our own Viis Exchange Utility (VEU) that simplifies this process. The VEU is a parameter-driven software tool which accepts a file containing a set of parameters and based on those parameters, connects to the partner database, extracts data of your choosing into a file of the correct format, attaches that file to an email of the correct format, and sends that email to Viisibility.

The VEU is installed on a server at the partner site. This is the only element of Viisibility that is installed inside your firewall. The VEU can also be installed on PC's for loading photographs etc offsite as required.

Once implemented, the VEU process is typically a scheduled task which runs on one of your servers which performs the following tasks
 -  Extracts key transaction or status data from your database into a file
 -  Sends the extract to Viisibility via email, webservices or FTP.

Utilising the VEU allows you to have fully automated data uploads, thus providing process visibility without any extra data input being required.
